Survivor: There’s an App for That

I’ve been spending quite a bit of time writing recently. But, you wouldnt be able to tell that from here. :} What have I been up to? Well, I’ve been recording the crazy adventures that have been this last year so that I never forget. But, that doesnt mean I’m allowed to ignore you guys now, does it?

So, since it’s been awhile since I posted anything here and since I love writing happy things, I wanted to give you an update! First of all, did you take a good look at that picture? Do you see it? Nick ran. Nick ran almost 5 miles. And he ran those miles in less than 45 minutes! Who would have thought that just 7 months since having his abdomen sliced over a foot right down the middle, he would be able to run 5 miles? Let alone, that quickly? I dont mean to be graphic, but it just amazes me… I am in awe.

Nick is getting stronger and stronger each day and I am proud and ecstatic! And, I am humbled… Though our future is far from sure, I find that in the day to day we are beyond blessed. Nick is showing all signs of being healthy. Showing all signs of remaining cancer free. I am humbled by the grace that God is showing us. Even if for just today… I am thankful.

(If you don’t know much about the trials that Nick has gone through over the past months, try looking at this post that has more of the details about the mouthful that is Nick’s diagnosis, Mucinous Adenocarcinoma.)

Thanks, ASL and Steve! It’s been a truly amazing journey and even though it’s not over yet, I get so much joy from seeing that he is getting healthier each day. And, all I can do is thank God and pray that this success continues! Thanks so much for your support!
